End-of-Year Check List for Your Employer Brand
’Tis the season for making lists and checking them twice, for wrapping up all things last year and planning for the year to come. With that in mind, have you thought about your Employer Brand lately? Now is the perfect time to prepare so that you can start the new year ready to attract, engage and retain the talent you need to succeed.
Here’s a quick checklist to help you get started:
- Reflect: Analyze what you did to secure wins. What were your recruiting results from the past year? How did candidates learn about your opportunities? What recruitment channels and messages worked the best to attract the right candidates? What clinched the deal for both sides?
- Assess: How did your online careers content perform over the past 12 months? Review the analytics for your careers website and social media channels. Take a look at the top performing pages and posts. What created the most engagement? What received the least attention?
- Website: Is your content still relevant? Are all of your company’s accolades and innovations up to date? What about new videos, testimonials or infographics? Are there areas of the company or its culture that are underrepresented?
- Social Media: Analyze your editorial calendar and update it based on your recent year’s engagement results and upcoming milestones and corporate objectives.
- Plan: Think about your recruitment goals. How do they differ from those you’ve had in the past? Are you trying to reach any new or different audiences this year? Should you consider updates to how and where you are communicating with potential candidates?
- Act: Create an action list of things to do before the clock strikes midnight on December 31 as well as a quarter-by-quarter plan to nurture your Employer Brand all year round.
Take time now to determine how you will build your Employer Brand and you can jumpstart your recruitment goals for success in the new year.
